This was our first stay of many Airbnb’s (17 booked so far) to come as we travel for the next year and our hosts Mark and Nikki have set expectations very high! We stayed for a month and the apartment was super clean and very well stocked, we didn’t want for anything. Plenty of soap, toilet paper, paper towel, cleaning supplies, body wash, shampoo. Two sets of bed linens and towels. The king size bed was super comfortable. There was a Kuerig and a drip coffee maker, plenty of K cups although we prefer drip and didn’t use the Kuerig much so it was great to have both options. The kitchen is well stocked, everything you need to cook a meal. The building itself is very quiet, street noise wasn’t too bad for being in a high density area. We always felt safe walking in the area day or night, you’re in a city of a million people so just use common sense. The views from the apartment are better than the pictures, the skyline at night is amazing! The Calgary Tower is lit every night, you can google the lighting schedule to see what the lights represent that particular day. The location is amazing as well, plenty of choice of coffee shops, pubs and restaurants all within a couple minutes walk. If you want to walk a little further the choices abound! A short 5-10 minute walk and you can be in the DT core or on 17th ave where there is something for everyone. Sunterra Market is about a 10 min walk for groceries or ready made meals, really great selection and reasonably priced. A few of our favourites places to eat and drink; Proof, Two Penny, Hotel Arts Raw Bar, Native Tongues, Beltliner, Leopolds Tavern, Civic Tavern (very rustic :-)), Meat and Bread and Sweet Relief Pastries for some take home sweets. Will definitely try and stay again when back in town.
