Well….we did it…9 Provinces, 30 States, 55 Airbnb’s/hotels, 362 days and 20,679 Kilometres travelled (point to point, doesn’t include travel at destinations). We’ve been and experienced some amazing places. We have mixed emotions being back in Calgary. Glad to see family and friends but wanting to continue the adventure. We’re here for awhile, until the world reopens we’ll be hunkered down in a semi long term rental apartment in downtown Calgary.
The drive from Kelowna via an overnight in Golden was super scenic, the spring run off is in full effect. So many points where the water running down the mountains had us wanting to stop to take it all in. Unfortunately, there weren’t many opportunities to actually stop the car. One place we could stop was the Enchanted Forest, brought back childhood memories of road trips to see Grandpa Pete and Grandma Betty in small town B.C. Some pics from the drive.
Wow, so happy to have you home for awhile. Hope you can keep yourselves busy and don’t get too bored. You have travelled far and wide and seen a lot of places you should be very proud of yourselves, I know I am very proud of you two. This is your time to sit and relax, it will take awhile but you can do it.
