On day 3 we decided to take a half day trip out of the city to explore a few of the very many waterfalls surrounding Portland. We ventured up the historic highway 30 and within an hour of our Airbnb we saw 3 pretty cool falls. Once we were back in town we walked from the Airbnb to Mississippi Ave, tons of restaurants, bars and people watching.

We wondered up and down Mississippi Ave, found a pint of local beer, a cocktail and kale pakora at Psychic bar with included fortunes and finally wound up at Matt’s BBQ for dinner. Matt’s is an old camper trailer among many other trailers that were serving breakfast, pastrami, asian…you name it. The BBQ was really good, and cheap! The plate cost $25 that we shared.
