A quick jaunt up the highway to Nanaimo. We enjoyed our time in Victoria but we were both ready to move on. It may have been different if the city was “open” as usual but with having to spend most of our time in the apartment DT the street noise started getting to us. We had a usual cast of characters, chip bag hand picking bottles daily about 5 pm, “screamer lady” wondering up or down the street at least once a day and a bus whizzing by at least every 20 mins. We’re in the burbs in Nanaimo, backing onto a park…it will be much quieter and we’ll probably miss the noise 😜.
We have a balcony so there is going to be many beers outside and grilling…I’ve really missed grilling. The Hoyne Summer Haze is outstanding, Thao 👍.

Love that scenery! Are you going to sample the desert treat bars made infamous by that region? Wondering if they have any specialty ones in addition to the traditional. Enjoy the peacefulness.
